1. Who we are
ClimbLocally is the controller of the personal data we collect about you when you visit this site or use our service. Contact: privacy@climblocally.com.
2. What we collect
- Account data: name, email, business name, phone number.
- Billing data: handled by Stripe; we receive transaction metadata, not full card numbers.
- Site brief data: service details, locations, credentials you provide for your parallel site.
- Usage data: pages visited, device, IP-derived approximate location, cookies (see below).
- Lead data: calls and forms routed through your parallel site (call logs, form submissions).
3. Why we use it
- To deliver, build, host and maintain your parallel site (contract).
- To process payments and prevent fraud (contract, legal obligation).
- To improve our service and measure performance (legitimate interest).
- To send service emails (contract) and, where you've consented, marketing emails.
4. Cookies
We use a small number of strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember your cookie choice. We use analytics cookies only after you accept them via the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site.
5. Sharing
We share data only with the processors we need to run the service: Stripe (payments), our hosting provider, and email and analytics tools. We do not sell personal data.
6. Retention
Account data: while your account is active and for up to 12 months after closure. Billing records: 6 years (UK tax law). Lead data: while your plan is active, then 90 days.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection. Email privacy@climblocally.com. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
8. International transfers
Some processors are based outside the UK/EEA. Where this is the case we rely on UK IDTAs or Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Security
We use TLS for data in transit, encryption at rest with our hosting and database providers, and role-based access controls internally.
10. Changes
We'll post any updates here and, if material, notify you by email.
